Summer at the Rifugio Averau

The Averau Refuge presents an exclusive calendar of events that combine sports, tradition, nature, culture, and gastronomy. Summer 2026 will be an extraordinary journey through breathtaking landscapes, mountain stories, music, authentic flavors, and moments that leave an indelible memory. Each event is designed to offer a unique experience in one of the most spectacular settings in the Alps, where the charm of nature meets hospitality and passion for the area.

June 24–28 | Lavaredo Ultra Trail
Welcoming athletes participating in the famous international competition with dedicated refreshment stations and convivial moments for the public.

July 12 | “Erri De Luca – Speech for a Friend”
Presentation of the book dedicated to the alpine guide Diego Zanesco, with musical accompaniment from the Duo “Na Fuoia”, in collaboration with Una Montagna di Libri.

July 13–19 | High Altitude Aromas Week
A journey through scents, wild herbs, and alpine flavors with a special menu created by botanical consultant Irene Pellegrini.

July 24–25 | Dinner with Astronomitaly
Two evenings dedicated to stargazing, the Moon, and the Sun with astronomy experts.

July 26 | Cortina Choir with Mass
Music and spirituality meet in the evocative harmonies of the mountain choral tradition.

August 2 | Historical Reenactment of the Great War
Soldiers in uniform, encampments, demonstrations, and period atmospheres to relive history in the mountains that were its protagonists.

August 29 | Montefiorino Brass Band
A day of celebration filled with music, colors, and popular traditions as part of the “Festa de Ra Bandes.”

September 12 | Glasses Among the Clouds
Tasting selected wines from the Dolomites accompanied by local gastronomic specialties.

September 25–26 | Delicious Festival Dolomiti
Sports, trail running, tastings, family activities, and great protagonists of alpine cuisine for the grand finale of the season.
