Gianpaolo Soratroi “Dolomites, a dream with open eyes”
Anyone who lives amidst these mountains daily must have asked themselves at least once: “But where do we live?” The Dolomitic environment truly represents a unique privilege for those who have chosen these mountains as their home and for those who frequent and love them. Through the drawings of Fabio Vettori and the musical notes of Silvia Tessari, we will embark on a journey to discover the Dolomites through stories, curiosities, images, and tales. An opportunity to look at these extraordinary mountains with new eyes and rediscover the wonder of a territory that surrounds us every day. Emanuele Confortin “Dolomitism, vertical tales. From Sass Maor to Spiz di Lagunaz”
The stories of the men and women who have explored the Dolomites meet the history of the Earth. The docuseries “Dolomitism. Vertical Tales,” conceived and directed by Emanuele Confortin and produced by the Dolomiti UNESCO Foundation, recounts some ascents that have marked the history of dolomitism. In each of the 9 episodes, the present emotions experienced by contemporary climbers intertwine with the recent past of historical testimonies, reaching back to the remote past of deep time, which has shaped these sublime landscapes capable of narrating 300 million years of Earth's history. Ivan Mazzon - Roberto Sacchet "Along the trail" - from the Project “The Wolves' Trail”
A suspicious track imprinted in the soft snow at the end of April; a few frames captured by a camera trap… It is spring 2018, and a couple of wolves has decided to occupy the beautiful and rugged territory of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park. It is said that the last wolf of Belluno was killed in 1929. Three naturalists, frequent visitors to these mountains, are willing to retrace them following ‘The Wolves' Trail’ and document the beginning of a return. The film tells this story of men on the trail of a family of wolves, a story of ascents, intuitions, remarkable failures, and unforgettable encounters.
