On January 16 and 17, pizza reaches new heights: special event at Rifugio Fedare
January 17 is a date to mark on your calendar: the World Pizza Day is celebrated worldwide. To pay tribute to this iconic dish, a symbol of Italian culinary tradition loved by both adults and children, the Rifugio Fedare at Passo Giau has prepared an unmissable event.
On the two days of Friday, January 16, and Saturday, January 17, Ivan Troi and his mother Anna will bring the art of pizza to high altitudes. Born as simple and tasty street food, pizza has evolved into countless global variations but retains its truest soul in the classic recipes that made history.
At Rifugio Fedare, you can savor the most beloved variations—from the timeless Margherita to the delightful Ham and Mushrooms, and the bold Tuna and Onion — all served on the splendid panoramic terrace with breathtaking views of Monte Civetta.
It’s the perfect opportunity for a refreshing break between ski runs: the refuge is indeed in a strategic location, right next to the ski lift connecting the Giau slopes with the 5 Torri, Averau, Col Gallina, and Lagazuoi area.
