Piccolo Carabiniere Forestale

A morning discovering nature, the environment, and the territory.

On Saturday, October 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Town Hall of Fonzaso, children aged 5 to 10 years are invited to experience a special morning focused on nature, the environment, and discovery. The initiative Little Forest Ranger, organized by the Municipality of Fonzaso, through the Civic Library, aims to provide young children with an important educational opportunity to approach the themes of flora protection, animal safeguarding, and environmental conservation, through a direct, engaging, and age-appropriate experience.

Participants will be guided by the Forest Carabinieri Unit of Fonzaso, with a meeting led by Chief Marshal Giammaria Stella accompanied by Ordinary Marshal Tiziana Beccarini, an expert in Environmental Education. During the first part of the morning, children will get a closer look at the world of Forest Carabinieri, discovering the value of their valuable work while also exploring key themes such as understanding environmental crimes, the importance of their prevention and repression, as well as the various activities dedicated to safeguarding the natural heritage of the territory included in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park. And after listening, learning, and asking many questions, it will be time to dive into the core of the experience!

Following this, a visit to the adjacent barracks, located across from the Town Hall, is scheduled. Children will be able to learn more about the spaces where the Forest Carabinieri operate, with the opportunity to see some vehicles and specific equipment used by the Corps.

Participation is free.
