On March 3, 2026, Cortina d'Ampezzo becomes the beating heart of the Games with the Unification Ceremony: all the Flames of the Flame Festival will unite with the Paralympic Flame coming from Stoke Mandeville, creating one powerful Paralympic Flame. A symbolic moment that marks the beginning of the Flame's Journey and announces the imminent arrival of the Games.
The celebration will take place in Largo delle Poste, in front of the iconic Palazzo della Telve and delle Poste designed by Architect Edoardo Gellner. From 5:00 PM, the public will be guided through an engaging narrative of values, territory, and key figures: institutions, partners, and special guests will accompany the anticipation until 7:00 PM, when the Flame will make its entrance for the official union of the five flames and the lighting of the cauldron.
The torchbearer relay will animate Corso Italia with a route of 500 meters: five groups, symbols of community and inclusion, will converge towards the stage to collectively light the cauldron in a profound gesture of emotion.
After Cortina, the Flame will continue its journey to Verona through the Veneto region. On March 4 and 5, Venice and Padua will host the City Celebrations, spreading enthusiasm and the Paralympic spirit in anticipation of the Opening Ceremony.
An event to be experienced together, where the Flame becomes a symbol of unity, energy, and future.
