On the path to Gratitude

Thursday, October 8, 2026, the autumn of Cortina tells its story through one of its most authentic traditions: the Procession of Ospitale, an event that combines faith, memory, and territory.

It is a journey that has its roots in the history of the Ampezzo community: a procession of thanksgiving for the agricultural year, through the colors and silences of autumn, to the evocative church of San Nicolò and San Biagio di Ospitale, built in 1226 on the site of an ancient hospice for travelers and pilgrims.

An opportunity to slow down, walk together, and rediscover the profound bond between the community and its land.

Program:

7:15 a.m. – Departure by foot from Cortina, in front of the Parish Church.
9:15 a.m. – Meeting at the Cantoniera di Podestagno, in the Son Col area.
Following – Procession on foot to Ospitale and celebration of the Holy Mass at the church of San Nicolò and San Biagio.

Participation is open to all.
