The Belluno Cultural Circle dedicates two concert-reading events, with music and stories, to introduce children aged 6 and up to classical music.
The first appointment, on November 7, is titled: Tales from the woods: a game between music and fairy tale, featuring music by R. Schumann, C. Saint-Saëns, D. Kabalevskij, A. Vivaldi.
This creates a game between music and fairy tale.
Classical pieces inspired by nature and animals become the soundtrack of short stories set in the woods, where puppets made from socks and recycled materials come to life, accompanied by the notes of the piano and cello.
Each story is an invitation to listen to and respect nature, to recognize its voice and beauty.
The concert reading is conceived and performed by Silvia Carlin on piano and Valentina Dubrovina on cello, with the narrating voice of Grazia Capraro.
Pianist Silvia Carlin, originally from Sedico Bribano, is a teacher at the Musik-Akademie of Basel.
She began her studies with Professor Nicoletta De Cian at the “Antonio Miari” Municipal Music School in Belluno, and graduated at just sixteen with the highest marks, honors, and special mention in the class of Professor Antonio Rigobello at the “Arrigo Pedrollo” Conservatory in Vicenza.
She then continued her training under the guidance of Filippo Gamba in Basel, obtaining a Master in Music Performance and a Master in Music Pedagogy, and studied with Alexandar Madzar in Hamburg.
A multiple award winner, she performs concerts in Italy, Switzerland, and Germany both as a soloist and in chamber formations, particularly with cellist Valentina Dubrovina.
Russian, in 2001 Valentina entered the music school of the St. Petersburg Conservatory and then the Hochschule of the Musik Akademie in Basel, where she obtained, among others, a Master in Performance and a Master in Music Pedagogy while taking numerous advanced courses.
Awarded in international competitions, she has performed in Russia, Switzerland, Germany, France, and the Netherlands (during the Cello Biennale), participating in numerous projects with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Basel Camerata, the Schaffhausen Sinfonietta, and the Zakhar Bron Chamber Orchestra.
Grazia Capraro, an actress graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Arts “Silvio d'Amico” in Rome, debuted professionally in 2018 with “Hamletmachine,” directed by Robert Wilson, embarking on a theatrical career with major directors and artists.
In 2025 she directed “Periferia” and “Le fil rouge,” theatrical performances with people with disabilities. Additionally, she wrote, directed, and interpreted the monologue “Not all storms kill butterflies.”
Alongside her artistic career, since 2020 she has been involved in theatrical training in preschools, primary, and secondary schools in the province of Belluno.
For the Soc. Coop. TIB TEATRO, she is a trainer in “Attozero,” an acting school for all ages.
