Il cammino da S.Vittore alla Madonna del Grappa

For 17 years, it has been a fixed appointment: the first weekend of August, the proposal of the Camino from San Vittore to Madonna del Grappa is an occasion for prayer and reflection, but also a moment to "remember" the dramas left by the Great War, as well as to fully enjoy the landscape through a path that crosses the mountain.

The route starts from Anzù, a hamlet of Feltre, more precisely from the ancient Sanctuary of SS. Vittore and Corona dating from 1096 to 1101, passing through Villaga, Tomo, Porcen, Rasai, Seren del Grappa.

 A part of the famous "Way of the Dolomites" is covered and the participation and blessing of the Bishop is expected.

The route is long, 52 kilometers, but presents no particular difficulties: it starts very early on Saturday morning with a gathering at the Sanctuary, heading towards the base camp at Conca delle Bocchette in Seren del Grappa.

Participants, arriving even from other Italian regions – usually stop to sleep in the refuges, while the braver ones spend the night outside, among the hay.

 On Sunday, they depart early from the base camp to reach Cima Grappa where a ceremony at the Sacrario with the lighting of the tripod (torch) is scheduled.

Along the route, refreshment stations (drinks, fruit, and whatever is useful for the journey) will be present.
