European Lute Orchestra

The 73rd Season "Perfect Chords" of the Bellunese Cultural Circle continues its mission to promote and organize concert and cultural events, bringing great music to Belluno with the most renowned names in international concertism and enhancing emerging young talents. 

This year's program features 23 concerts, including the spring season of “Musical Matinees” and the summer break dedicated to “July in the Village!”.

On Saturday, May 23 at 8:30 PM at the Dino Buzzati Municipal Theatre: European Lute Orchestra, conducted by Gian Luca Lastraioli, the only ensemble of its kind in the world, with a large group of instrumentalists devoted to the lute family, including renowned musicians of international fame, will bring to life the music for dance and court entertainment from the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, with a tribute to the English musician John Dowland on the 400th anniversary of his death.

Music by Praetorius, Dowland, Ballard, Vallet, and some Anonymous from the 17th century will be performed.
