Dolores and Diana, partisan friends. Two women from Feltre in the Resistance.

After the success of the presentation held in Feltre, Isbrec, in collaboration with the Municipality of Pedavena, the Anpi Provincial Committee of Belluno, Spi-Cgil, and the Cultural Association Tina Merlin, is pleased to invite you to the presentation of the book Dolores e Diana amiche partigiane. Due feltrine nella Resistenza (published by Isbrec, 2026).

The event will take place in Pedavena at the Silvio Guarnieri Cultural Center.

The role of women in the Resistance was fundamental: many were active in the Belluno area, including Maria Bellencin (“Dolores”) and Dominga Opalio (“Diana”). Their story is unique, having seen them active from August 1944 until the end of the conflict within a partisan action squad in the Feltrino, composed of eleven women and one man.

Through notes, letters, documents, and photographs, the stories of Dolores and Diana are reconstructed by their respective daughters in a weave of memories meant to unite generations, addressing questions about their background, the motivations for their choices, and the legacy of that experience.
