Dolomiti Film Festival

From July 30 to August 2, 2026, Cortina d'Ampezzo and San Vito di Cadore host the 6th edition of the Dolomiti Film Festival, the international event dedicated to documentary cinema that celebrates nature, the environment, culture, and mountain sports.

In the extraordinary setting of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, filmmakers, enthusiasts, and protagonists of the alpine world come together to share stories that inspire, evoke emotions, and invite reflection on the future of the highlands.

The festival features an international competition with works from around the world and four prestigious awards: Best Documentary on Environment and Culture, Best Sports Documentary, Special Jury Award and Inclusive Paths Award, dedicated to stories of inclusion in the mountains.

Program of the main events in Cortina at Sala Cultura Don Pietro Alverà:

• July 30 at 6:00 p.m. inauguration of the Festival and, at 6:15 p.m., special screening of Anime Libere with director Andrea Azzetti.

• August 1 from 2:00 p.m. screenings of the International Competition; at 6:00 p.m. Il Pastore di Nuvole with director Lorenzo Cassol; at 6:15 p.m. Awards Ceremony; at 6:30 p.m. screening of the film winner of the Best Direction award.

• August 2 at 4:00 p.m. screening of the best films from the competition and at 5:30 p.m. closing remarks.
