From March 23 to 29, 2026, Cortina d’Ampezzo becomes a vibrant hub for short-film culture with the 21st edition of Cortinametraggio, one of Italy’s leading festivals dedicated to short films and emerging talent. Cortinametraggio brings a week of screenings, premieres and special events that gather filmmakers, actors and industry professionals in the heart of the Dolomites.

Founded and directed by Maddalena Mayneri, the festival has become a launchpad for many acclaimed filmmakers, celebrating creativity and new cinematic voices.

The 2026 program features short films across multiple genres—from comedy and drama to thriller and science fiction—alongside music video showcases and innovative storytelling formats. Workshops and masterclasses enrich the experience, including a special acting lab with Riccardo Scamarcio, offering young talents the chance to connect with leading figures of the film industry.

With prestigious awards, renowned juries and networking opportunities with major production companies, Cortinametraggio creates a bridge between emerging creativity and the global film industry—turning Cortina into a cinematic stage where stories are born.
