The Cortina‑Dobbiaco Run is the most picturesque running event in the Dolomites: a multisensory experience that combines sport, nature, and breathtaking landscapes into one incredible course.
On May 31, 2026, hundreds of athletes from all over Europe and beyond will challenge themselves and get excited along the 30 km that connect the queen of the Dolomites, Cortina d’Ampezzo, to the renowned location of Dobbiaco, in the heart of Alta Pusteria.
The race starts in Corso Italia, in the center of Cortina, before diving a few kilometers into the charm of the ancient Dolomites railroad, where the dirt trail, slightly uphill, passes through tunnels carved into the rock and small bridges suspended in the void, always with the Dolomite peaks serving as a backdrop.
The highest point is reached at Passo Cima Banche (1,530 m), a natural watershed between Veneto and Alto Adige, before gently descending towards the Lago di Landro and admiring the iconic sight of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo before crossing the finish line next to the Grand Hotel di Dobbiaco.
In addition to the main race, the weekend offers 6 events in 3 days, including races for all ages and abilities — from the Spring Night Run to the Kids Run and the Run FOR charity run — creating a festive and inclusive atmosphere that attracts over 3,000 participants from around the world each year.
A unique event where landscape art and sporting passion meet, for those who wish to experience the mountains from a new perspective, running through woods, alpine lakes, and legendary views.
