Commedia “Innocenti, ma non troppo”

The theater group I Comelianti presents the play titled “Innocents, but not too much,” as part of the theater festival “Le Cosmicomiche 2026.”

In a meadow, the corpse of a man, poorly loved by a beautiful lady, is discovered. Perhaps it was accidentally killed by an old man, maybe a prude spinster, or perhaps the wife...

The protagonists of this sort of hilarious "Cluedo," engaged with a corpse to make disappear and... reappear, bring to life a series of comedic events and grotesque situations: how will they get out of it? Perhaps guilty.

Or maybe innocent... But not too much...

Loosely inspired by the film "The Innocent Conspiracy" by Alfred Hitchcock, the comedy captures the atmosphere of the 1950s in a small American countryside town, with all its picturesque human cases.

With this particular piece, which refers to one of the most unique works of the master of suspense, I Comelianti offers a comedy with a fast pace and an essential staging.

The space is defined by the relationships between the characters, and the scenery supports the web interwoven by the protagonists.

The text, ironic and subtle, entertains but also, in a sense, prompts reflection: in the delightful parade of relationships, complicity, alliances, and subterfuge, it clearly emerges how fragile truth can be.

And we hope, in our investigation to find the culprits, to elicit some smiles from you... strictly noir!
