Living a Threshold is a performance born from the collaboration between Martina Zito, a participant in the artistic research program Removed Content 2025/2026 and a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, and the Auronzo Dance Group.
The performance unfolds over several sessions distributed throughout the Quadrato neighborhood, places of passage and meeting situated on the threshold between private and public space. Drawing from observations and personal memories that emerged during the exploration of the neighborhood, Martina Zito developed a dramaturgy that relates body, memory, and dwelling. The score has been transformed into choreographic action by a group of students from the Auronzo Dance Group, guided by teacher Silvia Piazza.
The performance, lasting approximately 20 minutes and presented in a continuous cycle, invites the audience to traverse the streets of the neighborhood, allowing encounters with the various actions to occur unexpectedly. A mapping of the performance and a critical deepening accompany the project in the volume Constellation Lorenzago. Notebook 0, published by DBS Edizioni as part of the public art project Removed Content.
At the end, the dancers will gather in the Quadrato Garden to present a choreography created for the occasion, accompanied live by percussionist Giuliano Da Ponte Becher.
Founded in 1986, the Auronzo Dance Group promotes dance as an artistic, educational, and community practice, contributing for forty years to the cultural life of the area.
In case of bad weather, the presentation will take place at the Giovanni Paolo II Oratory Theatre.
