Lake Auronzo

Lake Auronzo

In the Valle d’Ansiei, at Auronzo di Cadore, there is a lake that will amaze you with its scenery and win you over, thanks to the many activities that can be done there.

We are talking about Lake Auronzo or Lake Santa Caterina, coloured by a thousand shades of blue and emerald green, reflecting Croda dei Toni, Cadini and the majestic Three Peaks of Lavaredo.

There are two good ways to reach this lake: the wide pedestrian and bicycle path which runs along almost the whole perimeter, or by moving about on top of the water in kayaks, row boats and pedal boats. Either way, fun and picture-postcard scenery are assured!
If, instead of physical activity, you prefer something more leisurely, you can fish, enjoy the relaxation and sunshine on the equipped beaches, prepare a nice picnic to enjoy with family and friends, or you can try the local dishes of Cadore.
How about a tip to end the day on a high note? Wait for sunset: the show will be unique!

Curiosities

  • Looking for the perfect place to take a photo to remember the place? Try the wooden bridge that connects the shores of the lake.
