The Alta Via delle Dolomiti No. 2 winds along a route of about 180 km, consisting of 13 stages, connecting Bressanone (BZ) to Feltre (BL).
The entire route takes place in three provinces - Bolzano, Trento, and Belluno - through 8 Dolomite groups and 30 mountain passes and fords. The itinerary maintains an average altitude between 2000 and 3000 meters, skirting a series of great peaks over 3000 meters and some small but spectacular lakes.
The Alta Via delle Dolomiti No. 2 is known as "The Way of Legends," as it traverses places made famous by ancient tales: from the fantastic cliffs of the Odle, a mythical kingdom of the characters from Ladin sagas, to the remote and high glacial bowls of the Vette Feltrine, which popular imagination has populated over the centuries with devils, witches, and ogres.
