The settlement of L'Andria was one of the first stable settlements in the whole Val Fiorentina thanks to two factors: the excellent position regarding the sun and the abundance of water. The Loschiesuoi stream, which descends just after the settlement of Toffol, provided large amounts of water throughout the year.
It was precisely on this stream that the mills, the forges, and the sawmill were located. However, some of these ancient constructions were swept away by the landslide in 1917 and the flood in 1966.
Along the path that winds through the villages that make up the Vila of L'Andria, many buildings that characterized the life of the mountain people until the end of the sixties are still well visible and preserved.
You can admire ancient HAY BARNS and HOUSES in LADIN style, the FAER for drying broad beans, the TRAVAI for shoeing cattle, the two CHAPELS one dedicated to the Madonna della Neve and the other to San Osvaldo. Along the Loschiesuoi stream is the restored and still functioning MILL, the lime storage, and the CIAUCERA, the oven where stones were once cooked to create lime. Additionally, high up shaped in the hay barns, you can admire the typical BARCONELE.
