Agordo Graffiti Town – An open-air museum that tells us how life was once in Agordino
Agordo, heart and capital of the Agordino valleys, has been known as “Graffiti Town” since 2010 thanks to the initiative of the artist Dunio Piccolin, in collaboration with the Sports Group le Ville and the Comprehensive Institute of Agordo. The artistic project now features over 30 beautiful works covering an area of more than 180 square meters.
The works are completed each year during the Children's Festival, which takes place on Easter Monday in the village of Le Ville, mainly by Dunio and other talented Italian and international artists. Each graffiti tells stories of life in the past, childhood memories, traditions, legends, and beloved local people.
The easy route winds through the streets of the beautiful village of “Le Ville” and along the banks of the Campregana stream (the starting point is at località Toccol 81, about one kilometer past the square of Agordo). The graffiti are easily identifiable thanks to the beautiful “map” you see below, created and updated by Dunio, also available in print at the Agordo Tourist Office or by following the interactive Google map found further on.
