Trekking Il Cammino Dell' Alba In Val Comelico

Three days of slow, rejuvenating trekking on the trails of the Comelico Valley at the foot of the Popera Dolomite Group towards Col Quaternà, the volcano of Comelico, to discover the authentic mountain, its trails, and the mountain huts at dawn, at high altitude, gazing at the sunrise of a new day. Loop trail with departure from Padola locality Valgrande, walking along the path in the woods (trail marker 171) to reach the Lunelli Refuge and from there take trail 101 to get to the Berti Refuge (1950 mt), after a a short stop continue to the Vallon Popera loop with suggestive view of the Campanili di Popera, the Sentinel Pass, the Croda Rossa, the Pala and the Popera Triangle, a nature-historical excursion to discover the suggestive tunnels and war trenches surrounded by the beauty and variety of the alpine bloom. Return and overnight stay at Rifugio Berti. The following morning, savoring the spectacular light of 'dawn, we set off toward the Forcella Pian della Biscia (trail 122 and then 124) to reach the Passo Monte Croce and from there continue to the Malga Coltrondo and the Rinfreddo refuge (1887 m) where we spend the night.  The following day, before the 'dawn, we climb to the ancient volcanic chimney of Col Quaternà (2053 mt) to relive the excitement of the dawn of a new day; return to the village of Casamazzagno crossing the Costa della Spina, green and lush ridge with a succession of gentle ups and downs, a simple path, at high altitude, where the green grass and rock of which neither is composed contrasts with the blue of a sky made unique by the altitude, and the purity of the air that you breathe. The trek is of medium difficulty, for trained people or accompanied by our mountain guides for " A safe mountain, to be discovered with those who know it and can tell its story"
