Traditional product markets

The Pro Loco Association of Canale d'Agordo is organizing this year the usual markets featuring traditional products.

The typical local products, carefully cultivated and passionately crafted by the skilled hands of local farmers and producers, will be displayed throughout the day in the picturesque setting of Piazza Papa Luciani in Canale d'Agordo.

Canale d'Agordo, the birthplace of blessed Pope John Paul I, is a renowned historic village, rich in history and culture.

The markets are located in the heart of the village, near the archpriest church of San Giovanni Battista and the Albino Luciani Museum, dedicated to Pope John Paul I and the history of the Biois Valley.

Canale d'Agordo, a social and economic hub of the entire valley since the 1300s, is well-suited to host events and exhibitions, featuring a large pedestrian area often enlivened by piano bar evenings and entertainment for both adults and children.

The market includes the display of honey, food products from the land, potatoes, as well as handmade soaps and creams, crafted with natural ingredients, reflecting the care and passion of the producers for ancient trades passed down from generation to generation.

Vegetables and cured meats, fruit juices and syrups, as well as traditional crafts such as the creation of scarpét (typical mountain slippers), cariéghe (old wooden chairs), sculptures, and items of traditional craftsmanship, along with stalls selling folk and Tyrolean clothing.
