The lovers

Set in the Goldonian era, "The Lovestruck" is a comedy that weaves together love intrigues and plot twists.

Cecilia, an orphaned noblewoman and opera singer, is in financial trouble and must marry to unlock her dowry.

With the help of her maid Lucietta, she convinces a ship captain, already in love with Rosina, into a marriage of convenience.

However, Cecilia truly falls in love with the captain, triggering comedic situations.

With sparkling dialogue and an engaging plot, this comedy is a tribute to the genius of Goldoni and the vibrancy of classical theater.
