Silent Threads

There are signs that tell much more than what appears. The galleries carved by the typographic borer beneath the bark of the fir trees are the silent testimony of an ecosystem profoundly transformed by the effects of storm Vaia and climate change.

From these traces arises "Silent Threads", the exhibition by the artist Silvia Canton that arrives at Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti, transforming a natural phenomenon into a powerful visual narrative capable of evoking emotions and prompting reflection.

The barks collected from the forests of the Dolomites, destined to decay, are recovered, preserved, and reinterpreted through a refined artistic language that gives them new life and new meaning.

The exhibition path weaves contemporary art, scientific research, and outreach, guiding the audience to discover one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time thanks to contributions from the University of Padua, scholars, and communicators, images, and multimedia content.

An immersive experience that invites viewers to observe the landscape with new eyes and to reflect on the relationship between man and nature, in the extraordinary setting of Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti, at an altitude of 2,732 meters, where culture, research, and beauty meet in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.
