Rites and Masks of the Dolomites

After the exhibition that recently featured the Maschere Dolomitiche Museum of Gianluigi Secco in Piazza Maggiore in Feltre, on the occasion of the 40th Craft Fair, here is another opportunity to delve into the Archaic Dolomite Masking, expressions of mountain communities to call for spring and awaken nature through ritual masks and pagan rites.

This time the Secco Museum will be hosted by the Asilo Vecio in San Vito di Cadore where it will be possible to appreciate a selection of mannequins, drawings, paintings, wooden faces, and historical photographs from Gianluigi Secco's collection, to tell the story of the Rites and Masks of the Dolomites.

The collaboration that led to the exhibition of photographs by Elisa Senai, Stefano Dal Molin, and Walter Pizzin will continue here. For years, they have been traveling through the valleys of the Belluno Dolomites, and beyond, to immortalize these important living traditions that still represent a significant moment of community.

The exhibition is open every day, from July 5 to July 19, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
