ART IN PLAY- Where abstraction meets the Olympic spirit

Until March 15, Farsettiarte in Cortina d'Ampezzo presents Italy in Play, an exhibition that connects contemporary art with the energy and values of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. In this symbolic setting, where culture and sport meet, art becomes a metaphor for movement, challenge and the pursuit of excellence.

Works by leading masters of Italian abstraction evoke the dynamism and freedom of the athletic spirit. In Luci di Venezia, Tancredi Parmeggiani transforms the canvas into a vibrant field of energy and motion. The colourful networks of Piero Dorazio suggest connection and harmony, much like a team working towards a shared goal. With Rosso, Agostino Bonalumi pushes beyond the limits of the flat surface, inviting viewers to experience space in a new way.

The iconic surfaces of Enrico Castellani turn light and rhythm into living matter, while Achille Perilli celebrates freedom of movement through compositions that seem to float in space.
