Giro delle Fontane

The “Tour of the Fountains” is a walk that traverses the territory of Alano di Piave in search of enchanting scenic views and some of the many fountains that tell the story of the towns and the people who inhabit them.

 Along the route, there will be refreshment points offering tastings, cicchetti, and local products; there will also be informational points about the fountains and local history.

The fountains were one of the social centers of the past; here families gathered during the ritual of fetching water necessary for daily life. They were also places for washing clothes (the so-called “lissia”) and play areas for the little ones.

All this demonstrates the importance of water, which is life, and was once treasured like a precious jewel and a community asset.

The routes will be:

1- 14 km green route estimated travel time 5 hours

2- 12 km yellow route estimated travel time 4 hours

3- 5 km pink route estimated travel time 2 hours on asphalt and gravel suitable for families with children, even with strollers, preferably with large wheels.
