Concerto Lirica Sacra

The concert will take place in the monumental church of San Simon di Vallada Agordina, located on Colle Celentòne. The church has been declared a National Italian Monument since 1877 for its historical and cultural significance, as well as obviously religious, it is a splendid example of Alpine Gothic style and constitutes a major attraction of great meaning and prestige for all of Agordino, Heart of the Dolomites. On August 26, 1978, Albino Luciani, originally from Canale d’Agordo, was elected Pope, only a month later he passed away. In his hometown (Canale d’Agordo) and around the world, he is remembered with esteem and affection. The concert is dedicated to the “Pope of Smiles” and aims to celebrate the life of this extraordinary citizen, not only as Pope, but also as a man, in a place that was part of his childhood and his life. Today’s concert is part of the celebrations organized in the Biois Valley throughout the summer and is proposed in collaboration with the Luciani Pope Foundation and the Albino Luciani Museum MUSAL. During the evening, selected singers from the International Lyrical Singing Masterclass, twelfth edition, conducted by Maestro Adelisa Tabiadon and Maestro Loris Peverada, will perform a program that will include arias and ensemble pieces from the great lyrical-sacred repertoire. The twelfth edition of the masterclass includes the presence of international singers. Teacher Tabiadon is a soprano who graduated in 1983 from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, under the guidance of Mrs. Giovanna Canetti, and was the winner that same year of the “As.Li.Co” singing competition in Milan, which allowed her to debut in the opera “Il Farnace” by A. Vivaldi at the Piccola Scala Theatre in Milan. In 1985, she won the International Competition “Luciano Pavarotti – Opera Company of Philadelphia.” It was in this year that she began her career as a dramatic soprano in Italy and abroad, collaborating, always in leading roles with very important theaters of international fame.
