Breathe in the altitude, listen to your heart

Saturday, July 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the picturesque Rifugio Averau becomes the meeting point between mountains, wellness, and scientific research on the occasion of the National Day of Arterial Hypertension in the Mountains.

An event dedicated to prevention and health, immersed in the extraordinary landscape of the Dolomites, where hikers can participate for free and voluntarily in the measurement of blood pressure and oxygen saturation, thanks to the presence of health operators from the Department.

The initiative also represents an important opportunity for awareness on the topic of melanoma and the prevention of risks related to sun exposure at altitude, through the distribution of informational materials and dedicated gadgets.

The project, promoted nationally by the Italian Society of Arterial Hypertension, the Italian Alpine Club, and the Italian Society of Mountain Medicine, sees scientific collaboration from the Italian Auxological Institute and the University of Milano-Bicocca, with the support of ULSS 1 Dolomiti.

A unique opportunity to take care of oneself, experience the mountains mindfully, and contribute to an important scientific research project.
