On September 25, starting at 6:30 p.m., the Teatro San Gaetano in Castion will host the special event "Waiting for 24 Hours of San Martino: 50 Years of Passion", a celebratory evening designed to rewind the tape of time and retrace half a century of one of the most beloved running and gathering events in the Belluno area.
Born in 1974 from a bold intuition to redeem local sport and running, the 24 Hours of San Martino has grown edition after edition, transforming into a true collective celebration capable of uniting entire generations.
The evening will not be a simple nostalgic recollection, but a live choral narrative, conducted by moderators Luca Cranner Sovilla and Michele Mitch Pellegrini, featuring the real protagonists of this adventure on stage: from the founders and the first historic relay runners of 1974 to the athletes who have set memorable records and the historic teams that have monopolized the winners' list.
During the meeting, the most iconic sports achievements will also be celebrated, along with the indispensable value of volunteering that keeps the organizational machine alive and the evolution of an event that looks straight to the future, celebrating this year its prestigious 50th edition.
All citizens, athletes, supporters, and lovers of the historic Belluno relay are invited to participate to experience together the emotion of an extraordinary milestone.
