Alle origini del museo: preistoria e protostoria del territorio bellunese

Since its establishment in 1876, the Belluno museum has linked its history and identity to the archaeological heritage of the city and province.
While the museum was being created, in some way "a Belluno archaeology" was also being born, thanks to the activities of the pioneers of that generation such as Osvaldo Monti and Francesco Pellegrini, and their contacts with important contemporary scholars.

Anna Angelini
She is a pre-protohistoric archaeologist. She graduated from the University of Bologna with a thesis in collaboration between the University of Ferrara and the University of Bologna. She then specialized at the School of Specialization in Archaeological Heritage of the University of Padua, where she continued with her PhD and some post-doctoral positions, always focused on themes of Alpine archaeology, with a particular interest in the ancient settlement of the territory and the Belluno mountain. At the G. Angelini Foundation - Mountain Studies Center, she dedicates herself to mountain themes through cultural training and information initiatives, but also with the active involvement and awareness of the community regarding common heritage, participatory safeguarding of the environment, and regeneration of resources.

Valentina Donadel
She graduated in archaeology from the University of Padua, where she continued her studies with specialization and PhD; from August 2025, she is the curator of the Naturalistic Archaeological Museum of Vicenza, having previously been the curator of the Environmental Archaeological Center of Legnago, as well as a research fellow at the University of Verona. She has been collaborating for years with the Regional Direction of Museums of Veneto and with the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape of Padua and is a professional archaeologist with consolidated experience in cataloging, programming, and designing exhibitions and in the dissemination of cultural heritage.
Author of numerous publications in the field, she teaches at the university level and in research institutes, and her interests range from the study of materials to settlement dynamics of the Bronze Age and Iron Age in Veneto.
