The Chies d'Alpago Natural History Museum organizes an evening dedicated to discovering the biodiversity of the area and learning about the Corn Crake (Crex crex), one of the most fascinating and rare species found in Alpago.
The event will begin with a guided tour of the local terrestrial fauna, carried out in collaboration with the Provincial Police Corps of Belluno, to explore the characteristics of the animals that inhabit our territory.
Following the tour, the naturalists Dr. Nicola Bitto and Dr. Pietro Jannon, coordinators of the research project supported by the "Giuseppe Tormen" 2024 grant, will present monitoring work dedicated to the Corn Crake, illustrating the species' presence in Alpago, research activities, and the importance of its protection for the conservation of natural habitats.
Admission is free and, at the end of the evening, participants will be able to share a convivial moment with the aperitif offered by the Pro Loco of Chies d'Alpago.
