The evocative Gothic cloister of the Gregoriano Seminary, in the heart of Belluno, will host on Saturday, September 19, and Saturday, October 3, the cultural and musical event At Sunset in the Gothic Cloister, organized by the Seminary.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 AT 6.00 p.m.
Concert “Ancient Roots and New Leaves”
The protagonists of the event will be the three musicians of the folk group Na Fuòia, Pina Sabatini, Annachiara Belli, and Andrea Da Cortà, who will take the audience on a journey through traditional songs, ballads, melodies, and dances from the folk heritage of the Dolomite Valleys.
For years committed to research, enhancement, and the revival of traditional music, they keep alive a repertoire deeply connected to the culture and history of the territory. Alongside traditional pieces, the group also presents new compositions inspired by those ancient melodies.
During the concert, the spotlight will be on the violin, guitar, bagpipes, mandola, diatonic accordion, and voices, able to convey the richness and variety of this repertoire, largely rediscovered by Andrea Da Cortà himself.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3 AT 6:00 p.m.
Musical Meditations with Readings from St. Francis
With Antonio Chiades, reader, and Carlo De Battista, piano.
Free admission.
