Tuesday, August 12 at 8:30 PM.
Discover the chakras, their symbols, attributes, benefits, effects, and their relationship to yoga.
The chakras are the energy centers of the body. They are located in the astral body, along the spine, starting from the base and rising towards the crown of the head. The astral body is the energy body that resides within our physical body. Each part of the physical body corresponds to a part of the astral body. The astral body cannot be seen or touched. This is also why we cannot see the chakras.
The chakras radiate a specific color and energy. Each of them corresponds to a gland in the physical body. Since each chakra relates to specific spiritual, emotional, psychological, and physical aspects of our being, it is believed that their blockage or malfunctioning can lead to physical, psychological, and emotional disturbances. Conversely, awareness and balancing of these energy centers are believed to lead to well-being and health.
The above relates to the purpose of yoga. Through the practice of asanas, yoga seeks to stimulate and balance these chakras or energy centers of the body. Read on to learn more about the 7 chakras, their symbols, attributes, effects, and balancing techniques.
Each chakra rotates at a specific frequency and speed. This frequency and speed can change due to various factors such as diet, lifestyle, thought patterns, etc.
There is no single method to unblock the chakras, but rather several. The best way to unblock the chakras will be different for each of us and will be a matter of trial and error to discover which method works for you.
