From November 29, 2025, to January 11, 2026, the exhibition "Travel Notebooks between Jerusalem and Lanzarote" will be held at the Museum of Stone and Stonecutters in Castellavazzo.
The exhibition, organized by the Circolo Cultura e Stampa Bellunese in collaboration with the Association of Stone and Stonecutters of Castellavazzo, the Province of Belluno, and the Municipality of Longarone, with the support of the BIM Piave Consortium, will be hosted at the Castellavazzo museum until January 11, 2026.
The exhibition features, for the first time on display, 56 drawings from two travel notebooks dedicated to Jerusalem, the holy city, and Lanzarote, a volcanic island with lunar landscapes, places visited in 1995 and 1996 by Franco Fiabane accompanied by his wife Maria and some friends, showcasing an unprecedented side of the Belluno sculptor, in a place, Castellavazzo, closely linked to his experience as a stonecutter who became an artist.
The event is made possible thanks to the generous availability of the Fiabane family.
The opening will take place on Friday, November 28, at 6:30 PM.
