Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Christmas Goose

Cortina December 23, 2025 18:00

Locality: Palazzo delle Poste, Sala Cultura, Cortina d'Ampezzo

Cortina
Sherlock Holmes e il mistero dell'oca di Natale

A goose to stuff for Christmas lunch, which hides a precious stone stolen from a countess…

It seems like an unsolvable case, but not for him: Sherlock Holmes.

Thus begins one of the most enjoyable adventures of the great detective from Baker Street, one of the most Christmas-themed ever written by Arthur Conan Doyle.

A private investigator with an infallible method and an exceptional collaborator, Dr. Watson.

During Christmas in London, Holmes finds himself with a shabby black hat and a fat white goose that hides inside nothing less than a stolen blue gem from a prestigious hotel. Without apparent clues, the investigator surprises once again, page after page, deducing the tale of ordinary madness behind the headgear and the animal. With a surprising ending, in which justice and forgiveness triumph… but without the police.

In Cortina, rereading The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle from 1892, an afternoon of wishes and music for young and old, to help us be kinder… but also merrier, wittier, and more cunning.

With readings and the narrative voice of Davide Tortorella, together with Francesco Chiamulera and the sparkling Alpine sounds of Trio Na Fuoia. In the most uplifting and ancient spirit of all the Christmases in the world. What are you still doing in front of the fireplace?

Hop on the reindeer and come to us!
