The new report by Cecilia Sala is a journey that closely examines three intertwined great stories: the radicalization of Israel, the destruction of Palestine, and the collapse of the Axis of resistance which has its center in Tehran. Cecilia takes us through check-points and raids, letting us enter the homes of victims and executioners, military leaders, and survivors.
In this way, she reveals the generational clash that transcends each of these countries, which has become one of the most significant fault lines of our present. Because while the "exhausted pacifists" among the elderly Israelis watch helplessly as their country drifts, a generation of very young settlers is the fiercest ever in the West Bank.
While in Palestine a father like Firas still believes in diplomacy and longs for the times of the Oslo Accords, the son Samih sees his three assault rifles as the only response to the occupation. And while the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran try to hide their weakness, the angry, unveiled women challenging the cameras for facial recognition have become hundreds of thousands.
By the way, what will happen to Iranian athletes at Milan Cortina 2026, after the repeated impediments to women from Tehran participating in sports competitions? And what is the fate of Ukraine invaded by Putin?
