Discover moreBorn in Siena, the Urban Trekking celebrates its 22nd edition this year. It is a project of sustainable tourism that invites you to discover cities at a slow pace, distancing yourself from the more traveled paths. An experience open to all, combining well-being, culture, and the discovery of the most authentic and hidden corners of the territory.
It's not just a walk: it’s a cultural, sustainable, and accessible experience for everyone, traversing streets, alleys, parks, and monuments outside of traditional circuits.
In Feltre, with guide Marta Azzalini, we will walk in search of the lost Feltrini convents that disappeared over the centuries due to the Napoleonic edicts and the Serenissima.
Departure from the convent of Ognissanti, located in Borgo Ruga, at the north entrance of the city, next to the millennia-old church of Ognissanti, transformed from a seat of the Augustinian order to a provincial asylum, to reach the nearby convent of the Dimesse, which has become the location of the hospital pharmacy.
Next stop: the convent of San Pietro in Vincoli and the Cathedral, which houses one of the altars of the nearby monastery of Santa Maria del Prato, of which today only the entrance portal to the Casa del Castaldo remains.
We will continue towards the former Episcopal Seminary, built on the site of the convent of the Clarisses, then crossing the Ponte delle Tezze to reach the sixteenth-century seat of the Compagnia di Sant’Orsola and finally the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, with its vanished convent.
