A celebration for the reopening
The MURES is pleased to invite all interested citizens to the Inaugural Festival on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM, in Pian delle Femene (Limana, BL).
With great satisfaction, the volunteers who manage the museum have announced the completion of what has been an important renovation and reorganization project... and they are now ready to restart, with a more modern and entirely new museum!
What are you waiting for? Don’t miss this unrepeatable event full of surprises!
Some more details that make a difference
The museum was founded in 1982 and is now managed by the ANPI in collaboration with the groups “La Spasema” from Valbelluna and “I Nanetti” from Vittorio Veneto. Its goal is to safeguard and narrate the partisan memory through original materials and informative mini-documentaries. It is a cozy and introspective environment, located in one of the most iconic and breathtaking places in Belluno, as it represents a historical symbol of the Venetian Resistance, and it is the true testimony of a strong desire: to remember who we are through “our” history.
The inauguration program includes institutional greetings and speeches from Chiara Marangon (ANPI Vittorio Veneto), Roberto Tacca (Director of the Museum), and local authorities. Following this, there will be a visit to the museum and, around noon, a convivial moment with refreshments.
The exhibition has been made more organized, accessible, and engaging, thanks to a reorganization of the artifacts. Interactive digital panels and immersive projections have been set up to reconstruct the movements of the war fronts and explain the battles fought by the soldiers. In short, not just artifacts and memory, but a true journey through history and the values of freedom and resistance.
An exciting event full of energy, that will involve you in the first guided tour inside the new MURES! Suitable for anyone wanting to learn more about the period of the partisan Resistance and to understand firsthand the strength of the bond that unites this community to its territory.
The museum is located in Pian de le Femene, easily reachable by foot or by car, about 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes from Malga Van.
After the inauguration, visits will be free but by reservation, as opening is ensured by volunteers.
