Since 1738, the traditional festival of mountain agricultural traditions has been held in San Tomaso Agordino, one of the main crops that have supported the economy of this location.
The Festival takes place on the first weekend of September and offers a rich showcase of mountain agricultural products and demonstrations of the processing of these products as tradition dictates.
The rich food stand features typical dishes made with these products that everyone can taste to discover the ancient flavors of local cuisine.
Casonziei with pumpkin, dumplings in broth, barley soup, tripe, tocà da boia, cheeses, pendule, and traditional sweets like fortaje are just some of the culinary offerings of the two-day event.
The event is twinned with other important autumn events in the Agordino area such as:
The smonticazione of Selva di Cadore
The smonticazione of Falcade
The Rassegna della Bruna and pezzata rossa ladina in Livinallongo del Col di Lana
“El di del trator2:” in Canale D’Agordo
The livestock fair in Agordo
