Favole al balcone

Valbelluna October 5, 2025 16:00

Locality: Belluno Centro Storico, Belluno

Valbelluna

Stories on the Balcony is an event with storytellers, designed for children of all ages (ideal from 2 years old), which has been held since 2009 in the Historic Center of Belluno.

At Stories on the Balcony you will find a city where adults for an afternoon decide to lower themselves and reach out to children.

They do this ideally by opening the windows of the most beautiful buildings in Belluno to tell stories. But what kind of stories?

We will not listen to stories that help little ones grow up faster. We believe that children should be given a slower pace to grow, to be shared together with the adults who accompany them. From the city’s balconies, children will listen to stories to become braver and face both wonders and perils of life with strength.

Our storytellers have always spoken to children in their language, the one that connects the mind to the heart, to tell the truth. A truth that can be harsh at times, but does not frighten, because the storyteller is there specifically to hand over golden keys to children, with the answers they seek every day on their journey.

At 4:30 PM from Piazza dei Martiri, after registering at 4:00 PM, the caravan of children and parents, guided by performers in medieval costumes, by the flag wavers of Feltre, and by the drummers, will depart for the fairy tale path.

  • Piazza dei Martiri
  • Piazza Santo Stefano
  • Piazza Vittorio Emanuele
  • Piazza Duomo
  • Via S. Lucano – Assindustria

In Piazza Santo Stefano, the first storyteller leaning out from a balcony will tell the first story to children and adults sitting at the foot of the building.

After the first story, the family caravan will move along the streets of the historic center to reach four more buildings with balconies, from which the other stories will be told.

Apertura Serrai di Sottoguda

Arabba Marmolada

OPEN FROM 14 June to 14 September, every day, with continuous hours from 09:00 to 17:00 SERRAI Between Sottoguda and Malga Ciapela, at the foot of the Marmolada, there are the Serrai di Sottoguda which constitute one of the most evocative landscape scenarios in the Dolomite area. Located at the foot of the Queen of the UNESCO Dolomites, the Marmolada, they are configured as a narrow canyon carved into the rock by the slow working of the Pettorina torrent; a place that is in some ways wild but which manages to embody the magic of nature and convey a feeling of complete harmony. The canyon is approximately two km long which winds between rock walls hundreds of meters high and from which suggestive waterfalls descend which, in winter, transform into the most renowned ice gym in the Dolomites. The Serrai di Sottoguda are the ideal place to spend moments of tranquility immersed in a scenario that can be defined as a true spectacle of nature.
