Commedia “Innocenti, ma non troppo”

5th and last appointment of the “Autumn at the Theater in Comelico 2025” review. The theater group I Comelianti presents its new comedy titled “Innocent, but not too much”. A corpse is discovered in a meadow, belonging to a man, the little-loved husband of a beautiful lady. Perhaps an old man accidentally killed him, perhaps a prim old maid, or maybe the wife...

The protagonists of this hilarious sort of "Cluedo", engaged with a corpse to make disappear and... reappear, bring to life a series of comic events and grotesque situations: how will they get out of it? Perhaps guilty. Or maybe innocent... But not too much... Loosely inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's film "The Conspiracy of Innocents", the comedy evokes the atmospheres of the 1950s in a small American rural town, with all its picturesque human cases.

With this unique piece, which refers to one of the most singular works of the master of thrills, I Comelianti offers a fast-paced comedy with an essential set design.

The space is defined by the relationships between the characters, and the scenery supports the web woven by the protagonists.

The text, ironic and subtle, entertains but also, in a certain sense, prompts reflection: in the delightful kermesse of relationships, complicities, alliances, and subterfuge, it clearly emerges how tenuous the truth is.

And we hope that, in the investigation to find the culprits, we can draw some smiles from you... strictly noir!
