The Carnival in Castion is a marvelous crossroads of fantastic allegorical floats created each year by skilled and ingenious volunteers from the districts of Castion.
Every year, for an entire day, the streets and square of Castion come alive with masked floats, each with a different story to tell, and music with DJs, shows for everyone, along with the joy of adults and children in original carnival costumes.
The schedule for Sunday, February 1st is as follows:
10:00 AM - opening of the food stands and "Nonno Ildo" play area
11:30 AM – masked parade
2:00 PM – start of the parade of allegorical floats and groups (along Pian delle Feste)
4:30 PM – awards ceremony
All day long, children's face painting will be provided by the Parent Committee of Elementary Schools.
