The book:

Adam Ondra is the greatest climber of all time. Pietro Dal Pra was there to witness his first climbs as a guide, following his athletic evolution as a friend, and continues to participate in his leaps beyond the imaginable.

How and why such a deep friendship is born is not easily explained, but certainly, between the two champions, there is a common characteristic: a strong sensitivity and attention to detail towards themselves, the rock, and other people.

Pietro is also the author of this book written in perfect harmony with Adam, and he will reveal, through memorable climbs and key stages of his sports career, the culture, inclinations, tastes, and way of living climbing of this fantastic climber.

The author: Pietro Dal Prà

Pietro was born in Camposanpiero (PD) on June 19, 1971, but he is fully Vicentine. Between the ages of fourteen and seventeen, he became the youngest climber in the world to climb at extreme difficulties.

By the end of his studies, he had already climbed the main walls of the Dolomites and the Alps, and at the age of twenty-one, he became an alpine guide. Parallel to this profession, which he practices almost full-time, Pietro continues to frequent the mountains throughout all seasons and on the Dolomite walls, he has signed some of the most beautiful climbs, in all styles.

Pietro's climbing is clean, driven by a desire to experience the vertical world and not by a drive to produce feats. He has known how to set limits for himself and play with them, always prioritizing ethics and style. The sports achievements he has reached are simply a consequence of this.

Among his many accomplishments, the Zauberlehrling route on Cima Scotoni stands out, one of the most difficult solo climbs of all time in the Dolomites, and the opening of Pepe Rajo in Patagonia, the first route on the north face of Cerro Piergiorgio.

Vinicio Stefanello

He was one of the founding members of PlanetMountain.com, an international portal dedicated to mountaineering, climbing, and mountains, which he managed from 2000 to 2022.

He has collaborated with various trade magazines, published books, and directed several docu-films on mountaineering and climbing.

He directed the WebTV of the Trento Film Festival (2008 – 2010) and the Arco Rock Legends award for the Rock Master Association (2006 – 2019).

For the Courmayeur Services Center, he handled the direction and videos of the award ceremony of the Piolet d’Or (2011 – 2015).

In Ratikon, in 1999, he made the third ascent of Silbergeier in three days, which is still one of the fastest climbs today, and six years later, he made the first repeat of the even more difficult Die Unendliche Geschichte. And in Sardinia, he completed the first free ascent of Hotel Supramonte, two of the most beautiful and challenging multi-pitch climbs in the world.
