An evening of Christmas music in the setting of the Church of Sargnano: Sunday, December 21 at 8:30 PM, the Crystal Tears Vocal Group will present a program dedicated to the suggestions of Christmas.
The heart of the concert will be “A Ceremony of Carols” by Benjamin Britten, a masterpiece of the twentieth century for voices and harp, alongside traditional Christmas carols. Written in 1942, “A Ceremony of Carols” blends medieval and Renaissance texts with crystalline choral writing and the unmistakable sound of the harp. From bright dances to moments of meditation, Britten leads the listener through a sonic journey that evokes the mystery of Christmas.
The harp soloist will be Eleonora Burigo, an award-winning talent from Belluno, while the direction is entrusted to Elettra De Biasi.
Admission is by free donation until seats are exhausted.
