The Limana library space is not only available for the lending and consultation of books and texts but also serves as a multifunctional center, often hosting events, exhibitions, and activities aimed at younger audiences, promoting culture and art in a comprehensive way.
It covers an area of 260 square meters, all on a single ground floor, free of architectural barriers. Adjacent to it is a meeting room with a capacity of 90 seats, and an outdoor garden at the back of the library, a place for leisure and relaxation especially during the summer months.
Over the years, the library service has seen a continuous enhancement of cultural offerings, an increase in both the library and audiovisual collections, currently holding about 30,000 books, 1,500 audiovisuals (CDs and DVDs), hundreds of comics, in addition to about ten subscribed magazines.
Many cultural initiatives are organized annually by the library, which have contributed to increasing the number of visitors and daily attendance at the library.
These two factors (the increase in owned materials and the enhancement of cultural offerings), combined with the high professionalism of the human resources working there, who have always prioritized care and attention to users’ needs, have led to a significant increase in annual loans from the Limana Municipal Library, reaching the threshold of 10,000 per year.
