The summer championships of bobsleigh and skeleton

Summer World Championship of bobsleigh and skeleton in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The event, hosted for the first time in the Conca, is scheduled for September 11 and 12 at the Fiames sports center, specifically on the renewed push track named after Renzo Alverà.

The event is organized in synergy by Fondazione Cortina, the organization responsible for major sporting events in Ampezzo, and Bob Club Cortina, a historic association that has nurtured generations of athletes and proposed various international events.

The summer championships of bobsleigh and skeleton are dedicated to the push: it is a competition in which athletes push the sled on an artificial track, without ice, where those who achieve the best push time prevail.

The races in Cortina d'Ampezzo, which will also be valid for the allocation of the Italian titles, will see the participation of sixteen nations: in addition to Italy, Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Spain, France, Germany, Ghana, Liechtenstein, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Taipei will be participants.

The schedule includes official training on Thursday, September 11 (free in the morning, official in the afternoon) and competitions on Thursday, September 12, starting at 2 PM: world and Italian titles will be awarded for men's two-man bobsleigh, men's four-man bobsleigh, women's monobob, women's two-man bobsleigh, men's skeleton, and women's skeleton.
