The IBSF Congress

While waiting for the return of the Bob and Skeleton World Cup, and especially for the Olympics and Paralympics in Milan Cortina 2026, Cortina d'Ampezzo is preparing to become the world capital of bob and skeleton by the end of summer. 

From September 11 to 13, the Conca will host the IBSF congress, the International Federation of Bobsleigh and Skeleton, the two disciplines that, along with skeleton, will take center stage at the Games on the renewed Ampezzo track.

The IBSF meetings will take place at the Alexander Girardi Hall and will see the presence of over one hundred and thirty delegates from various national federations, as well as the International Olympic Committee. On Saturday, September 13, a visit to the Sliding Center by the congress attendees is planned.

On this occasion, Cortina d'Ampezzo will also host the Summer World Championships of bob and skeleton.
It will be Bob Club Cortina that organizes the Summer World Championships of bob and skeleton pushes on Friday, September 12.

The renewed sliding center named after Eugenio Monti will instead host in November the opening stage of the 2025-2026 World Cup of bob and skeleton: the races, a true pre-Olympic test, will take place from November 17 to 22 and will be preceded, from the 7th to the 16th, by an official training session.

On the Ampezzo track, there will also be two periods of official training for luge athletes.
