What futures for our mountains?

On one side, the amusement park mountain, seen as an attraction, a playground, an extension of the city.

On the other, the void; countries disappearing and valleys dying due to depopulation.

Where is the limit between too much and nothing?

How can we balance the two opposites to find a new equilibrium, for ourselves and for our mountains?

What futures for our mountains is an event dedicated to the mountain, its valleys, its towns and communities, and cities. An event to explore alternatives and think of different futures.

Michil Costa, a Ladin hotelier and nature man, manages with his family the Hotel La Perla (Leading Hotels of the World), the Berghotel Ladinia, and the Alpine Hotel Gran Fodà in the Dolomites, as well as the Hotel La Posta in Bagno Vignoni. President of the Maratona dles Dolomites.
