LIBeRI - The Library is open are three thematic reviews to accompany the return home of the Civic Library of Belluno. After LIBeRI in the woods and LIBeRI in the body, the last (?) journey arrives, we set sail for Mars. LIBeRI on Mars will take place from September 6 to 14, 2025.

Antonio Castronuovo is an essayist, translator, and bibliophile. He is on the board of the Aldus Club in Milan, an ancient bibliophile association previously presided over by Umberto Eco. He has edited the reissue of various works by Dal Fabbro. Among his books: Dictionary of the Bibliomaniac, Dictionary of the Graphomaniac (upcoming), Bibliophilic Obsession.

In the 19th century we were already too many, too many tourists. But while it was possible to laugh about it back then, today, when the numbers have multiplied beyond measure, especially in certain destinations, the situation is dramatic. Solutions? Even trips to Mars might not be... Over-tourism is a systemic problem, the logical consequence of a disastrous mentality of limitless growth.

Duccio Canestrini is an anthropologist, author of several successful books including Antropop. The Global Tribe, Go to That Country, Don’t Shoot the Tourist, Travel Trophies. He has traveled to all continents and taught Anthropology of Tourism at the University of Trento and at the University Campus of Lucca.
