On Sunday, July 20, Marta Azzalini, a licensed tour guide, in collaboration with Veneto Segreto, organizes a day of guided tours of the center of Belluno.

Belo-dunum, meaning shining city, is the name given to Belluno by the ancient Celts. We will explore the capital with its history as a fortified city along the axis of the Piave River, touching on the main squares.
Duomo Square, the center of civic power today as it was yesterday, which overlooks the Cathedral dedicated to Saint Martin and the Renaissance Palazzo dei Rettori, the seat of the government of the Most Serene Republic of Venice for almost four hundred years.
Castle Square with the ruins of the ancient city castle and breathtaking views of the Piave River.
Herbs Square, the historic site of the market in the center, featuring the Monte di Pietà, the fountain dedicated to Saint Lucano, and the loggia of the Ghibellini. Exiting the city walls through Porta Dojona, we will reach the evocative church of Santo Stefano and conclude the visit in Martyrs Square, the elegant living room of the Bellunesi with its historic cafés, porticos, and large garden.
